Tennessee Christian Bass Anglers
The Tennessee Christian Bass Anglers is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1996. The focus of our bass club is to evangelize a lost and dying world as well as edify our brothers and sisters in Christ through our passion for fishing. What separates the TNCBA from other bass clubs and fishing organizations is our Gospel first focus. The Gospel is the good news of Jesus Christ's saving grace and His death, burial, and resurrection that provides us eternal salvation when we place our faith and trust in Him. As Christians we are called by Christ in the New Testament's "Great Commission" to share the gospel story with all the world.
A competitive nature burns inside of every TNCBA member, but above that competitive nature is the sweet and Christlike fellowship that exists amongst our members. At each meeting and weigh-in we have a devotion that is Gospel centered and intended to help our members grow in their daily Christian walk. In James 5:16 we are told that, "the fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much," and as a member of the TNCBA you and your loved ones will be bathed in prayer. Prayer requests are taken at each meeting and weigh-in, and also emailed out to the club so that we may bare each others burdens or celebrate in each others praises. During our monthly meetings the winning techniques and seasonal how-to's will be shared to help our members become better anglers.
Each year the TNCBA Tournament Committee meets to generate the following years schedule and discuss any changes to the season format. We typically fish 10-12 tournaments a year including a TNCBA Classic and one out-of-town tournament. The majority of an angler's entry fee for each club tournament will go into the TNCBA account and be given to local charities at the end of each year. The remaining portion of an angler's entry fee for each club tournament goes towards gift certificates that are given to the winning team(s). The competitive nature of our club is built around the sharing of fishing techniques and information to help improve anglers of all skill sets. Beginners all the way up to advanced anglers are welcome to fish with the Tennessee Christian Bass Anglers!
