TNCBA anglers hit'em hard on the co-angler side!
TNCBA #3 : Douglas Lake Recap
TNCBA Around the Region - Ryan Pope
This past weekend, April 26th, TNCBA member Ryan Pope took on the deep, clear waters of South Holston Reservoir. Morristown marine was holding their 3rd tournament of the year and the anglers came out in droves, as nearly 200 hundred boats competed for the grand prize of $10,000. The weather was beautiful and the smallmouth bite was hot, and even a few big green fish showed up to the scales.
The first place team brought in 24.60 lbs, which was anchored by a 9.01 lbs behemoth largemouth, to take home the cash prize. It took over 20 lbs just to make the top 6. Ryan Pope and his partner pieced together a very solid day and they were able to bring in 14.45 lbs which was good enough for 64th. Ryan Pope and his partner currently sit 82nd in points and look to tame Douglas Lake, a lake that has proven tough here in early 2014, at Morristown Marine's next stop May 17th.
